Undershirts should be like your underwear: not showing!

Am I suggesting to “go commando?”  If you prefer to, but not necessarily…

Many years ago, a man who required an undershirt worn underneath his dress shirt did so because the fabric of the button-up he wore was too harsh to lay against his skin comfortably.  Textile technology has come a long way though, and now, just about every dress shirt you buy can be wore sans undershirt if you so choose.  However, most men wear undershirts because it prevents the dreaded underarm-sweat-look.

The best remedy is to wear a deep cut v- neck t-shirt.

Yes, without a shirt overtop, you may be mistaken for a gigolo.  But hey, remember what we said about undershirts?  They’re not showing.

As for color, the best is one that matches the darkness of your skin color.  Just because you’re Caucasian doesn’t mean this color is white.  A safe bet for everyone is grey.

“Why,” you ask?  Well, the savviest females know that if they wear white pants and white underware, there is a white underware line.  Wearing a nude color underneath solves this problem.

The same can be said for a white vs. grey undershirt.  Try out American Apparel’s Tri-Blend Short Sleeve Deep V-Neck.  With a healthy amount of rayon and polyester in this tee, it is softer and wicks moisture away much, much better than a 100% cotton tee.

Nothing sucks more than pit stains on a classy shirt.  Now that we’ve taught you a big style secret, do us and yourself a favor, and pick up a new Arbitrage button-up…  like this one.  You can thank us later.
